Melodie Robinson

Melodie was born in New Plymouth and became an international Black Ferns rugby player. She played 18 tests for the New Zealand women’s team, the Black Ferns, from 1996 to 2002, winning two World Cups. She then gained a degree from the University of Otago and a journalism certificate from Wellington Polytechnic in 1996. She began working in radio, at the press gallery in Wellington covering politics.

Robinson went to Sky Sports in 2002 commentating and presenting for the Super 12 and NPC. She is now the regular host international netball build ups, the Heineken Open, ASB Classic, and is the face of rugby for Sky TV.

She is married to Marcus and is a devoted mum to two young children.
