Scottie is a youth-worker, pastor and social entrepreneur. Based in Wellington, he’s launched two espresso bars which aim to counter youth unemployment by offering first-time work to teenagers. All profits are poured into a youth trust which impacts 60,000 young people throughout New Zealand every year.
In 2016 Scottie was a finalist for Young New Zealander of the Year and just today, Scottie’s book, Twenty-One Elephants: Leaving Religion for the Reckless Way of Jesus, was named the winner of the 2017 Ashton Wylie Mind Body Spirit Literary Awards.
